How Does an Air Purifier Work?

A process called adsorption, not to be confused with absorption, is also used in air purifiers. Porous substances such as activated charcoal attract and trap larger particles into its pores.

Using ultraviolet radiation is another form of air purification. Air passes through the UV light, which sterilizes it, removing harmful bacteria and other germs.

Air purifiers do just that, they purify the air in your home by removing dirt, dust and other allergy-causing particles from the air. Using a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter will allow your system to trap at a minimum, 90 percent of the particles passing through it.
